Kim Flowers Riemer, NP

Kim Flowers Riemer has been with Colorado Cardiovascular Center (CCC) for the past 8 years. She began her nursing career at The Johns Hopkins Hospital shortly after graduating from the University of Cincinnati. Kim worked as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit for 6 years where she learned from some of the most talented physicians in the country. She became interested in critical care medicine and cardiovascular disease, which led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Nursing at The University of Pennsylvania. She is a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Kim is well known for her caring and compassionate manner. Kim is very thorough in explaining optimal care plans and new diagnoses to her patients. Kim is able to be very autonomous in her treatment plans because of her experience, knowledge, and training. Kim takes pride in knowing that at CCC, patients are treated as individuals. The staff develops caring relationships with the patients and follows them throughout their disease process.

Kim’s areas of special interest are lipid management and atrial fibrillation. She has participated in the Cleveland Clinic Atrial Fibrillation Summit and is an associate member of the American College of Cardiology.
