Dr. Doucet has been practicing in the
Boulder area for over 6 years. He is board certified in
both cardiology and interventional cardiology by the
American Board of Internal Medicine. He
completed his training at Baylor College of
Medicine/Texas Heart Institute in Houston, one of the
premier heart centers in the US. He was awarded the
position of Chief Cardiology Fellow during his final
year of training, and was chosen by his peers and
attending physicians, to be The Outstanding Fellow of
his graduating class.
He performs balloon angioplasty, stent placement,
intervascular ultrasound and pacemaker/defibrillator
implantation. He also specializes in nuclear cardiology
and peripheral vascular disease. He is one of only a few
physicians in the area trained in using the Fox Hollow
atherectomy device to treat peripheral artery
occlusions.
Dr. Doucet is very interested in the prevention of
coronary artery disease and has a patient oriented
approach that is tailored to the specific needs of each
individual. He and his patients work together in a team
effort to reduce cardiovascular risk through education,
lifestyle modification, and pharmacological
intervention.
Dr. Doucet is on staff at all of the area hospitals,
which include, Boulder Community Hospital, Longmont
United Hospital, Avista Hospital and Exempla Good
Samaritan Hospital.
In his spare time, Dr. Doucet enjoys playing golf,
hiking with his dog Cayenne, downhill skiing and
reading. |
